Macroeconomics
The Department of Economics has a long tradition (from Knut Wicksell and Erik Lindahl) in macroeconomics.
Recent research interests cover a wide range of topics such as monetary economics, exchange rates, business cycles, endogenous growth, applied consumption analysis, and fiscal and monetary policy. In the last decade, there has been a a focus on empirical macroeconomics, in particular time series analysis, including the developement of new econometric methods.
