The 5th Nordic Econometric Meeting will be held at
the School of Economics and Management in Lund, Sweden, 29-31 October 2009. The conference
is organised by the Arne Ryde Foundation in cooperation with the Department of Economics,
Lund University, on behalf of the Nordic Econometric Network.The scientific program consists of two keynote lectures by Professor Hashem Pesaran, Cambridge University, UK, on The Analysis of Non-stationary Panel Data, and of presentations and discussions of invited and
contributed papers.
The conference is open to econometricians
of all countries, with the aim of advancing econometric research especially in the Nordic
countries. It will cover a broad range of topics in econometric theory and applied
econometrics, including but not restricted to macroeconomics, financial economics,
international economics, labour economics, and health economics.

Call for papers
l Researchers within the broad field of econometrics are encouraged
to submit their work.
Papers should be sent as attached pdf-files by email to the local organisers at the

The deadline for submissions
is 1 June 2009.
Notification of acceptance will be given by 1 July 2009.
l Those interested in taking part without presenting
a paper should apply to the local organisers by 1 September 2009, providing contact
information and affiliation.
Payments
l There is no conference fee.
Participants are expected to pay for their accommodation and travel costs.
Two lunches, coffee at breaks, and the conference dinner will be paid for by the
Arne Ryde Foundation.
l A limited fund for accommodation and travel grants
is available to participants who lack other funding. In particular, PhD-students
presenting papers can expect to receive support. Participants who wish to apply for funds
should inform the local organisers when submitting papers or applications for
participation.
To and from Lund
Participants are expected to make their own travel and
hotel arrangements. Unless otherwise notified, the organisers expect
participants to arrive in Lund on the morning Thursday 29 October and depart on the
evening Saturday 31.

Accommodation
We have a block-booking covering 65 rooms at 3 hotels
between Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October, and also 18 rooms for Wednesday 28. The rooms
are available till mid-September. The prices of the rooms range from about 800 SEK to
about 1700 SEK per night for a single room.

Format
The keynote lectures will be given in plenum.
A presentation of a contributed paper, including discussion, is expected to be
allocated 30 minutes.
The rooms are equipped to handle most forms of presentation.
The conference language is English.
