Announcement and Call for Papers

 


Professors Michael Magill, University of Southern California, and Martine Quinzii, University of California at Davis, will give three lectures on uncertainy and expectations in general equilibrium.

The lectures will present a new approach to general equilibrium under uncertainty, in which the key conceptual element is a shift from the conventional state-of-nature approach to an approach based on probability distributions. The resulting model is used to analyze equilibrium with production, incentives and money.

The lectures will be published in the Arne Ryde Memorial Lectures series by MIT Press.

The lectures will be held on three consecutive days:

l Wednesday 23 September, 14.00-17.00
l Thursday 24 September, morning
l Friday 25 September, morning

The venue is the School of Economics and Management (HC Ekonomicentrum) in Lund. Street address: Tycho Brahes väg 1.

Workshop
A workshop with contributed papers on the theme of the lectures is planned for the afternoon Friday 25 September and Saturday 26 September. Especially young researchers in the field are encouraged to submit their work. For more information about the workshop, click here.

A social event is planned for the afternoon Thursday 24 September.

There will be a conference dinner in the evening Thursday 24 September.
