Professors Michael Magill, University of Southern California, and Martine
Quinzii, University of California at Davis, will give three lectures on
uncertainy and expectations in general equilibrium. The lectures will present a new approach to general equilibrium under
uncertainty, in which the key conceptual element is a shift from the conventional
state-of-nature approach to an approach based on probability distributions. The resulting
model is used to analyze equilibrium with production, incentives and money.
