How to get to Lund by plane

Arrival by plane

There are two airports close to Lund: Malmö Airport, Sturup, (Sweden) located 30 km south-east of Lund and Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, (Denmark) about 35 km south-west of Lund on the Danish side, see the map.

From Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (CPH) to Lund

By train

As you may see from the air, Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, is next to the bridge over Öresund between Copenhagen (on the Danish side) and Malmö (on the Swedish side). From Kastrup trains crossing the bridge to Malmö-Lund (Öresundstågen) leave from platform 1 every 20 minutes (at night, between 1:00-5:00 a.m., only ones an hour). The trains make a stop in Malmö. Some of them continue then directly to Lund. However, on others you have to change train-set in Malmö (to purple commuter trains called Pågatågen). The travel time from Kastrup to Lund is about one hour. (The time between Malmö and Lund is about 12-15 minutes.)
A one-way ticket (ask for a ticket to Lund) is approximately 100 DKK or 125 SEK and are sold at the ticket counters before going down the conveyor belt to the trains.
Rush hours the trains tend to be crowded. You can avoid the crowd by buying a first class ticket and use the first class compartment. A first class ticket costs an additional 25 DKK or 30 SEK.
Most credit cards are also accepted. For an additional fee of 80 DKK or 100 SEK, you can buy the ticket on the train.

By taxi
If you should prefer to go by taxi it is advantageous to make a reservation in advance with Taxi Skåne, phone +46 46 330330. When ordering the taxi, be sure to mention that you are participating at a conference at Lund University, and that, thus, the university's special deal with Taxi Skåne is applicable to you. You should mention this also to the driver who will wait for you at the airport with a name sign. The price of a trip under this arrangement is expected to be about 900 SEK. The trip takes about 40 minutes.
