Current events

The last lecture was in part devoted to the first part of Ch. 4 in Tirole (-4.2); this is, accordingly, part of the final syllabus.

The lectures May 11 and May 16 were devoted to signaling and limit pricing. The readings are this handout and Ch. 9 in Tirole.
For the artile by Klemperer, Sections 1 through 7 and Appendix A are the parts treated in class. It is recommended that you read the rest of the paper for orientation.
A second set of exercises -- to be discussed in the week May 9-13 -- have been distributed.
The following exercises for the first part have been distributed; they will be discussed in class in the week April 18-22.
The first part of the course is devoted to the principal-agent problem. The teaching on Monday will follow my notes relatively closely; on Wednesday we will also discuss this article (distributed in class).
