Here are some links that may (or may not) be of interest...
I. Economics
Hail to the Chief! Old and new one (not maintained anymore?)... Edward Castronova's home page is a must for anyone interested in the economics of virtual worlds! His paper Virtual Worlds: A First-Hand Account of Market and Society on the Cyberian Frontier is a terrific account of what you get when you mix economics and computer game addiction. I wish I had used my own addiction to Civ in such a productive and entertaining way! For a full, on-line version of An Inquiry into the Nature And Causes of the Wealth of Nations click here! NB! a) I think it's the full version, but since I've not read the entire work this may be misleading b) That I link to a certain organisation's web site should not be misinterpreted as an expression of my political beliefs! We are all objective scientists, right? Any economist should take interest in the founding father's magnum opus...
II. Some useful links for the Homo Oeconomicus wannabe
Going abroad? Confused about the exchange rates? Then this site might be useful. If you're buying books on-line, then find the cheapest site here (in swedish).
III. Miscellaneous
To help the hungry, make this site your browser's starting page. Peter Englund's home page (in swedish). Tips on a good read or two, and some thoughtful personal reflections.
IV. Resources for the unresourceful researcher
Eric Weisstein's (ancient) World of Mathematics is a nice place to start looking
V. Fun stuff (for geeks only?)
Think you know all there is to know about Civilization? Wrong, completely wrong! Check out the Apolyton forums or remain ignorant... Like space? Then go here!
