The Research Programme on

The Aged and the Economy

The purpose of the programme the Aged and the Economy is to initiate and stimulate research in this area. The programme is financed by the Swedish Council for Social Research and involves a cooperation of four departments at Lund university, Department of Community Health Sciences, Department of Economic History, Department of Economics and School of Social Work.

Coordinator: Professor Rolf Ohlsson, Department of Economic History. Other members of the group are Tommy Bengtsson, Department of Economic History, Per-Gunnar Edebalk, School of Social Work, Agneta Kruse, Department of Economics, Björn Lindgren and Carl Hampus Lyttkens, Department of Community Health Sciences and Department of Economics

The economic effects of changes in social insurance systems.
Project co-ordinator: David Edgerton

The project aims at evaluating the effects of changes during the 1990's in the sickness insurance scheme and in the part-time pension system. The project is financed by the Swedish Council for Social Research.
