Recommended course structure for a profile in Macroeconomics

The Macroeconomics Profile of the Master programme in Economics is aimed at providing specialised competence in macroeconomics. It is also an excellent preparation for those aiming at PhD studies in economics who wish to specialise in macroeconomics.

For a master degree of 120 credits the following courses are recommended. All courses are 7.5 credits but for the essays which cover 15 credits each.

2. NEKN41 - Advanced Macroeconomic Analysis

2. NEKP32 - Mathematical Methods - Dynamic Optimisation (odd years)

Year 1 - Spring term
1. NEKN34 - Time Series Analysis
1. NEKP41 - Economic Growth, Advanced Course (even years), or
1. NEKP42 - International Macroeconomic Theory (odd years)

2. NEKN01 - Master Essay, first year
