Overeducation Among French and Swedish Youth – A Comparative Study

The aim of this project is to analyse the phenomenon of so-called overeducation, with a particular focus on overeducation among youth. The project is undertaken in collaboration with researchers at Institut de Recherches Économiques et Sociales (IRES), Paris and is a country-comparative project. Comparing the background, incidence, character and consequences of overeducation among youths in the two countries is expected to yield additional insights into the role of the educational systems and differences in the functioning of labour markets in shaping youth overeducation outcomes.
