Master Programme in Economics
Econometrics Profile
The Econometrics Profile of the Master programme in Economics is aimed at providing specialised competence in econometric
methods. It is especially suitable for students who wish to work with advanced empirical analysis and forecasting. It is also an
excellent preparation for those aiming at PhD studies in econometrics or in economics with a specialisation in econometrics.
The one year Econometrics Profile can only be followed by students who are admitted in the autumn term of even years,
and will thus be available for admissions first in the autumn term of 2008. Students who start odd years can follow a selection of
the courses, but not the complete profile. The two year Econometrics Profile is also best followed starting in even years.
There is no requirement of following a specific profile (that is, one can take specialisation courses from
different profiles), but it is highly recommended. A profile will give you a specialised area
in Economics and by following one of the recommended structures you will also be well
prepared for the master essay.

out of six combinations of two courses (including at least one core course). See degree requirements below for additional information.
