Distance learning

The Department of Economics has provided distance education since 1997. As of today, we offer the general course (1-30 ECTS) as a distance course.

We also offer three different paces
Full time: All courses are completed in one semester
50%: All courses are completed in two semesters
25%: All courses are completed in four semesters

The courses offered as distance courses have the same names and the same number of credits as courses offered on campus. A student who, for example, has completed the first three courses on campus can complete the general course by taking the remaining course as a distance course.

The department has developed its own system for delivering distance courses called “Kommunikationsforum” (KF for short). The system consist of a platform on the Web for students, software to be used by teachers and administrators and a database connected to the main database for the university.

Distance courses are only offered in Swedish.
